We are hoping to make this year the most successful yet! On the registration page you can register yourself, your team or sponsor a plunger. The Western Region Polar Plunge website can be found HERE | | Best in the West! | | | Check here for tips, updates and reminders so that every coach, volunteer and fan can be the Best in the West Attention all bowling coaches: Please submit your bowling rosters as soon as possible. Why a roster? We want to be able to give each and every athlete credit for participating regardless if they compete or not. Rosters can also be used to determine quotas for larger competitions and also to ensure athletes are not registering for competitions without training. Coaches can use these rosters to track who participated in what sports during specific seasons/years. Best in the West tip: if you fill out the roster on the computer using a spreadsheet software you can save it and next year you will not have to re-do it; you would only need to make any changes (add/remove athletes) and leave the rest! | | Upcoming Events | | | Western Region Bowling Location: Thruway Lanes, Cheektowaga, NY Date: November 8th Registration deadline: October 25th, 2009 Athletes will have the opportunity to visit the Healthy Athletes Special Smiles station! ~a flyer for the event can be found at the online file folder Western Region Bowlathon Location: Thruway Lanes, Cheektowaga, NY Date: November 15th from 3:00-5:00 PM People will have the opportunity to purchase a lane, bowl for 2 hours and be eligible to win great prizes based on the person's/group's total fundraising amount. *Western Local Senior Bowling Location: Thruway Lanes, Cheektowaga, NY Date: Sunday, January 24th, 2010 Registration deadline: Friday, January 15th, 2010 *Western Local Junior and Senior Bowling Location: Thruway Lanes, Cheektowaga, NY Date: Sunday, January 31st, 2010 Registration deadline Friday, January 22nd, 2010 *Teams will be assigned dates based on roster sizes and determined once all rosters have been submitted to the Western Region office. | | | Contact Information | | | Shelby Baker, Program Director Special Olympics New York, Western Region 8207 Main St. Suite 13, Williamsville, NY 14221 (716) 580-3346 Office (716) 580-3941 Fax "Let me win.
