To clarify: *Roster: This document will list ALLathletes that train. This includes athletes regardless if they attend a competition or not. All teams must submit a roster by the 3rd week of practices. This form has a spot for the head coach to fill out some basic information including name, contact information, training club location, days and times. There is also a place to list ALL coaches. Please include their email as well. There then is a place to list all athletes and what sport they compete in. In some cases, only one sport will be checked. Other teams may train in several sports so this is a way to submit one roster instead of one for each sport. This roster is seasonal *Registration Form: This form is used to submit athlete names and scores/times for a specific competition. There are separate forms for skills and team competition These forms will ask for more specific information depending on the sport registering for. Example: for a basketball competition a skills score must be submitted for each athlete competing in the skills competition and a team score if registering a team. Please note that there are coach registration forms. These must be submitted as well. ***Tip: If you fill out these forms electronically and save them, the next time you need to submit one of these forms it is already filled out! All you need to do is make any changes (adding and/or removing athletes, updating scores and times...) | | Seeking Global Messengers for the Western Region We are looking for nominations from coaches of athletes who may be a good candidate for the Global Messenger Program. Training will be provided to each Global Messenger. What is a Global Messenger? Global Messengers are Special Olympics athletes who help spread the message and vision of the movement as well as the benefits they have gained by participating in Special Olympics. As leaders and message-bearers of the movement, Global Messengers communicate the powerful declarations of hope, acceptance, dignity and courage of Special Olympics athletes around the world. Only athletes can effectively relate the impact that the movement has had on their lives and the lives of their families. ***Please nominate an athlete you feel would make a good candidate to be a Global Messenger*** | | Upcoming Events Western Central Local Basketball Location: Clearfield Community Center Date: Saturday, March 20th Western Central Local Aquatics Location: University at Buffalo Natatorium Date: Saturday, March 27th Western Regional Basketball Location: Buffalo Niagara Court Center, West Seneca Date: Saturday, April 24th Registration deadline: Monday, April 5th Super Regional Aquatics Location: University at Buffalo Alumni Arena Date: Saturday, May 1st Registration deadline: Monday, April 12th Link to event flyer and registration Super Regional Volleyball Location: Buffalo Niagara Court Center, West Seneca Date: Saturday, May 15th Registration deadline: | | |
